High logistics costs affect economic operation
Last year, my country's total social logistics costs amounted to approximately 9.4 trillion yuan, accounting for approximately 18% of GDP. Logistics costs remain high in the economy. Furthermore, due to rising costs, the profit margin of key logistics companies' core business income was less than 4%. According to statistics, the logistics industry achieved steady growth last year. The total social logistics volume for the entire year is expected to reach 17.7 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%, a 2.5 percentage point decrease from the previous year. Nationally, total social logistics costs amounted to approximately 9.4 trillion yuan, an 11.4% year-on-year increase, a 7 percentage point decrease from the same period last year. The ratio of total social logistics costs to GDP was approximately 18%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points year-on-year. Logistics costs remain high in the economy.
